What is Home Watch?

I did not realize when I started this venture how many people would not know what I am referring to when I say to them Home Watch Concierge and Maintenance Service.

Home Watch, alternatively referred to as house watch, house check, home concierge, caretaker, absentee home service, property watch, and possibly more, is a service provided by 17North 88West Home Watch. This service involves conducting regular inspections of your unoccupied or vacant property while you, the owner, are away.

The NHWA describes Home Watch as “a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues.”

Why would I need a home watch service?

In your absence, various issues can potentially affect your home, including break-ins, water leaks, electrical problems, insects, mold, and storms, among others. Taking proactive preventive measures, such as storm preparation and regular maintenance, can help avoid many of these situations. While you may have a trusted neighbor or relative nearby whom you can call, opting for a professional to act on your behalf is often a more effective choice.

Consider this perspective: Your relatives and neighbors, who live nearby, have their own homes, priorities, and lives unfolding in their respective environments. As a preferred client of Goodlife Home Concierge, your home becomes our priority, our focus, and our environment.

Is home watch considered a security service?

The Home Watch service involves maintaining a visible presence in your unoccupied home, serving as a potential deterrent to crime. Many Home Watch companies not only respond to alarm calls but also have established familiarity with local law enforcement.

Is your service akin to a house-sitting service?

No, the Home Watch service is not a house-sitting service. Instead, we conduct periodic visits to your home, following a specific and mutually agreed-upon checklist. During each visit, I spend less than an hour ensuring that your home remains in the condition you left it for your return.

Are you a property inspector?

While I do check your property, I am not a property inspector. Property inspectors typically conduct detailed inspections of the structure, plumbing, electrical, and heating/air conditioning systems during property sales. In contrast, Goodlife home Concierge Home Watch Stears provides a visual inspection of your vacant home or property, focusing on identifying obvious issues.

These are just a few of the common questions I have received in conversations. feel free reach out with others if you like...
